Noisa uploaded their full, high-quality set from Beatport ReConnect: Drum & Bass.

Earlier this month, Thijs de Vlieger of fabled Dutch electronic outfit Noisia appeared on Beatport‘s ReConnect: Drum & Bass livestream to rip a classic Noisia DJ set. Today, he took to Twitter to share the exciting news that the high-quality set has been uploaded in full.

The famed Noisia trio sadly split up towards the end of 2019 and had a farewell tour planned, but it was shelved due to the impact of COVID-19. While new Noisia has been rare, fans can find solace in this hourlong set, which de Vlieger explicitly labeled as a “Noisia DJ set.” It features a slew of Noisia originals as well as many from that of their heavy-hitting drum & bass counterparts, like Alix Perez, Mefjus, and Phace, among many others.

You can watch the performance in full below.

Eric Prydz Drops Pair of Singles Under Cirez D Alias

May 23, 2020
Post Image

Hardcore fans are likely to recognize these two originals, which have frequently appeared in the producer’s live sets.

Eric Prydz has dropped a pair of new singles under his alternate moniker, Cirez D. The new singles, “Valborg” and “The Raid,” are currently only available on Beatport as exclusives, but are expected to hit streaming services sometime next week.

Prydz has typically reserved his Cirez D alias for his techno-leaning productions. Though that belief still seems to hold true, Prydz throws a bone to house and trance heads with the melodic soundscapes of “Valborg” before transitioning to a bouncing bassline.

The second single, “The Raid” boasts a grittier arrangement, starting with its dark, gated bassline. Like “Valborg,” which premiered at Tomorrowland last year, this heavy original was first played out to a massive festival crowd at Chicago’s Lollapalooza in the summer of 2019. The single went on to become a battle-tested original throughout Cirez D’s live sets and over half a year later, the official release of “The Raid” has become reality.

The two-track EP dropped on Prydz’ own Mouseville Records imprint, representing the first Cirez D material released since his 2018 DARE U EP.

Lady Gaga's New Ariana Grande Collab Was Produced by Boys Noize, Tchami, BURNS, and BloodPop®

The Queens of pop channel bravery and vulnerability in the second single from “Chromatica.”

The road to Lady Gaga‘s highly anticipated sixth studio album Chromatica has been quite a journey, but the wait is quickly coming to end with May 29th right around the corner. Today she shares with her “Little Monsters” the record’s second single, titled “Rain On Me” featuring Ariana Grande. The track was produced by none other than electronic heavyweights Boys NoizeTchami, BURNS, and BloodPop®, so you know it’s going to make you want to dance.

When two pop queens unite under one production, you know the fandoms are going to go insane. Both Gaga and Grande have cultivated a devoted following by using their phenomenal voices to champion vulnerability. With “Rain On Me,” the message Gaga is expressing is that instead of fighting and trying to suppress sadness, we should embrace our feelings. When depression hits, it could feel like a personal cloud is above your head and raining down on you. She’s learned to keep going through the storm and to be grateful for just for being alive.

The track opens with Gaga’s empowering vocals expressing the above sentiments. The production is upbeat, with a catchy synth clap and steady bass line. The artists involved in this single have created the ultimate cry-dance ballad to get you moving through Memorial Day Weekend.

With Chromatica just a week away, Gaga must be breathing a sigh of relief. The album had been pushed back from the original April 10th date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s gearing up to be one all-star album featuring Grande, Elton John, Blackpink, and EDM superstars Tchami, Boys Noize, SkrillexMadeon, and Axwell. BloodPop® is listed as not only as the album’s executive producer, but also the A&R.

Lady Gaga’s Chromatica, out May 29th, can be pre-ordered at her official website.

Zeds Dead Takes a Leap Into Future House With Funkin Matt

May 19, 2020

Out today, their remix of Biicla’s “Deeper” is fast and furious.

Teaming up for the second time since their September collaboration, “Feel So” featuring Fiora, Zeds Dead and Funkin Matt are back with a future house remix of Biicla‘s “Deeper.” The track was released today via Good Luck Have Fun Records, the label behind young creatives Whethan and Oliver Tree.

The track takes on a completely new personality from Biicla’s original, using only snippets of MODENESS‘ original vocals and the melody of the build and drop. By upping the pitch of the lyrics to a Galantis-esque chant and doubling the BPM, the dreamy chillwave track was transformed into a punchy exploration of trance with future house synths and reverb.

It’s apparent the song was a true collaboration between the two vastly different artists. Zeds Dead is the powerhouse trap duo behind headbanger anthems like “Bumpy Teeth” with Subtronics and “Where The Wild Things Are” with Illenium. Meanwhile, Funkin Matt is on the opposite end of the spectrum, producing clubby future house dance tracks like his hit remix of Mariah Carey‘s “You’re Mine (Eternal).”

Both Zeds Dead and Funkin Matt’s styles are evident in their “Deeper” remix, with the former bringing a driving, pulsating drop and the latter adding tech house synths. The remix is an official addition to Biicla’s debut EP, No Place, released in April by Good Luck Have Fun. The Russian producer has been gaining traction in the last year, making his mark on the future pop world after winning Future Classic‘s remix competition for Flume and Vera Blue‘s “Rushing Back.”

Take a Big Ole Bite of Diplo and Wuki's New Single "Chicken Wang"

May 14, 2020

The single, featuring Snappy Jit, was released today via HARD Recs.

If you’re looking for a Thursday pick-me-up with some serious attitude, Wuki and Diplo have you covered with their latest single “Chicken Wang,” featuring Snappy Jit

Out today via HARD Recs, the track is just as ridiculous as it sounds and stays true to Wuki and Diplo’s fun, energy-based rhythms. Think of it as the EDM ode to food, with messaging and a creative commitment to originality comparable to Kanye West‘s “Closed on Sunday.”

The song is the first release off Wuki’s upcoming album, which the recent HARD Recs signee will release through his new label. It dives deep into his booty-bass and electro roots with pounding drum samples, upbeat vocal cuts and a drop full of rave whistles and reverb. In typical Wuki and Diplo fashion, the two artists stayed true to their vision on this one and dove deep into their love for, well, chicken wangs. They managed to pair Diplo’s classic trap sounds with twerk-ready bass, resulting in a new kind of club shaker.

“Chicken Wang is very dear to my heart. I love chicken and I love wangs,” Wuki tells EDM.com in an exclusive quote. “I’m so stoked to kick off my album with this track. It’s silly, but in a way it really encapsulates my sound for this album.”

To kick off this release with a bang and a wang, Wuki is personally delivering free chicken wings to a few lucky fans through an online competition
